What is Clan Guard?
Clan Guard is an online gaming community dedicated to the transfer of knowledge and to the prevention of hacking.
For too long clans – however closely organized - have been threatened by a lack of information about what transpires in other clans. Other groups’ fallouts or banished users can soon be knocking on another clan’s door, looking to cause the same damage to not only the image and reputation, but also the structure of their new association. Clan Guard attempts to minimize this risk through the spread of information. Our community is dedicated to opening borders between groups and games to increase the amount of knowledge at the hands of clans, communities, and servers.
The second purpose of Clan Guard is as a defense against the constantly adaptive field of hackers whom plague online gaming. Resources such as PunkBuster offer a great frontline defense against these players, especially when coupled with streaming services such as Punksbusted and PBBans. However, there is a loophole. These services rely directly on Punkbuster itself, which can be circumvented by higher-end hacks. This community’s anti-cheating purpose is to bridge this gap. Through content and communication we provide ban lists for clans looking to get the hackers which have founds means to escape PunkBuster, thereby offering security to communities looking to for further resources to stop cheaters.
